Web push
Subscribe each browser/device that should buzz when there’s a new message. Manage in Settings → Notifications.
Mute a room
Tap the bell icon in the room header to mute for 1 hour, 8 hours, 24 hours, or forever. Urgent messages still come through.
Body visibility
Don’t want the message preview in the notification text? Settings → Notifications → Notification body turns it off — you’ll get a generic “New message” alert instead.
Mentions & urgency
@-mentions get a distinct title. Urgent-priority messages bypass mute and DnD.
